Pro Tip: If you want to take blog pictures of you in a form fitting dress, don’t take it at the end of the day when you have literally just finished stuffing your face with pasta and bread. Lesson learnt.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by Eles Clothing to see if I wanted to try something from their website. Now as a wholesale website it isn’t the place I would usually be looking for clothes (especially for work), however I did manage to find some items that I liked and was surprised at the pricing.
The Eles Clothing representative James asked me to choose three items – one of which they would send to me. To be honest, the dress I received was actually my least favourite of the three, so at first I was slightly disappointed, however that quickly changed when I tried it on.
Now I love pencil/wiggle dresses, however I never thought they would suit my lumpy, pear-shaped body. Luckily the shape of this is slightly different as it nips in at the waist and rather than clinging to your bottom half it instead puffs out slightly and skims it in a tulip-style shape. I do think it’s great for an office environment because the neckline and length are conservative enough (plus the heart print is cute and smart!). The material is thin so it’s a good comfy summer dress that is light enough for running around work whilst still looking smart. The downside to such thin material is that it is really hard to keep crease-free. I also think that although this shape is flattering from the front, it does seem to make my bum look huge from the back.
The shoes are from the kids section of New Look – there are benefits to having small feet! I am a big fan of brogues, especially for work. I thought I would mix things up very slightly and get tan instead of black – I know crazy right?
