One Night With…Carrie Hope Fletcher and Jodie Steele at Studio 88

The fabulous Studio 88 has just launched it’s new series of late night shows “One Night with…“.  Featuring different stars of the West End stage each week this is your chance to get up close to some of your favourite performers and listen to them sing, answer questions and play games while you enjoy a cocktail or two in the glamorous surroundings.  This new series began with two of my current favourite West End performers Carrie Hope Fletcher and Jodie Steele, straight from the stage of Heathers the Musical around the corner at The Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Carrie Hope Fletcher is well known for her current role as Veronica in Heathers the Musical, as well as Eponine in Les Miserables and Wednesday Adams in the musical adaptation of The Adam’s Family as well as for her career as a Youtuber and author.  Here she treats the audience with songs from both The Adam’s Family and Les Miserables alongside a Wicked classic to boot.  Carrie is a big hit with younger theatre fans and so she the audience relished the chance to ask her questions about her musical.  

Jodie Steel is most well known for her role as Heather Chandler in Heaters the musical, as well as playing Elphaba in Wicked and Mini in Rent.  As well as dazzling the audience with her natural charm in her interviews she hits the high notes with a couple of classics from Wicked and Legally Blonde.  

Hosted by Youtube star James Burr who really helps gel the show together as the stars bounce off each other telling a few inside jokes, storeys of the stage and other titbits as this late night intimate show progresses.  It’s an enjoyable evening for stagey lovers and with upcoming stars such as Caire Sweeny, Jodie Atherton and Sophie Evans this is sure to be a big hit for theatre fans.
