The Netflix show Bridgerton has taken the world by storm this month, with fans dreaming of wearing their regency era finary and wandering through the gardens of grand homes and attending lavish balls. Some of the real joy of watching this show comes from taking in the opulence of their surroundings, and the amazing thing is much of this was shot on location right here in England! Here are the real-life locations of some of your Bridgerton favourite scenes so you can grab your favourite gown and go running barefoot through the gardens of some stately homes as you discover the Bridgerton filming locations in the UK.

Clockwise left to Right: Bath Guildhall, Beauford Square, Bath Assembly Rooms, Royal Cresent, No.1 Royal Cresent, Trim Street
Bath, Somerset
Bath was used extensively in the filming of Bridgerton including the locations of The Royal Cresent and No.1 Royal Crescent which were used as the home of the Fetherington family. I’ve walked around on a previous visit to Bath and feel every bit as beautiful as they do on screen. There’s a public park directly in front of The Royal Cresent so its a great place to sit and take it in. Closeby the Bath Assembly Rooms and The Guildhall were both used for interior ballroom scenes. The Abbey Deli on Abbey Green is used as the dress shop in the show while Trim Street and Beauford Square were both used for exterior shots. The impressive exterior of Holburn Museum of Art was also used for some of the amazing exterior shots of the ballroom scenes so is definitely worth a visit.
Visiting No.1 Royal Cresent: This building is a museum decorated and furnished as the building would have been from 1776-1796. Tickets are £10
Visiting Bath Assembly Rooms: This property is owned by the National Trust and grand rooms can be explored by the public. The Bath Fashion Museum is also located on the ground floor. Tickets are £9.50 for the Fashion Museum and visiting the Assembly Rooms is included in the price.
Visiting The Guildhall: Available to visit during business hours on weekdays, simply ask at reception to visit the rooms and you can do free of charge.

Visiting The Royal Cresent, Abbey Green, Trim Street and Beauford Square: All are public streets and can be visited freely and free of charge.
Bristol, Somerset
Nearby Bath is the historic city of Bristol where the historic building Leigh Court was used for many of the lavish ballroom scenes including the Crawford and Princes ballroom.
Visiting Leigh Court: The outside is free to visit however the inside is only available for private functions

Hertford, Hertfordshire
The grand Hatfield House was one of the Bridgerton filming locations used mainly for interior shots of the Fetherington House including ball scenes, the library and the West Garden. Hatfield House has been used as the setting for many other historical shows including The Favourite, Rebecca and The Crown.
Visiting Hatfield House: Access to the house, park gardens and woodlands is £19 per adult.

Salisbury, Wiltshire
The stunning stately home of Wilton House was used for the exterior scenes of Hastings House as well as some of the interior scenes including the scene in which Queen Charlotte on the throne. It has been used for many different films over the years. It was also used for some of the exterior shots of Clyvedon Castle.
Visiting Wilton House: The house and grounds are open to the public and a ticket to the house and grounds is £15.50 for adults or £6.50 for the grounds only.

York, Yorkshire
Castle Howard in Yorkshire was used as the stunning exterior of Clyvedon Castle but sadly the interior shots were shot elsewhere. The village in the 6th episode was shot at nearby Coneysthorpe Village. Many of the streets in the city of York were used to represent London’s Mayfair.
Vising Castle Howard: Visiting the house and grounds is £22 per adult

Elmbridge, Surry
The beautiful 18th-century landscaped gardens at Painshill Park took in the role of Primrose Hill in this fictional world, and it’s stunning bridge and lake are strikingly recognisable.
Visiting Painshill Park: As this park is on private property there is a fee of £11 to visit the grounds

Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
The interior of Bridgerton House was filmed at Halton House where the Grand Hall, stairs, hallway and smoking room scenes were filmed.

Great idea for a post – like a tour of the best stately homes in Britain. I’ve visited those local to Bristol and London, but would be great to discover some of the others too!
Great post and such lovely locations! I´ve just finished watching the last episode 🙂 Saving this post for when we are able to fly over again 🙂
I thought I recognized some of the locations from my trip to Bath! I’ll have to add the other places in your post to my list as well.
I loved watching Bridgeton and I would really enjoy exploring all of these locations! Thanks for sharing Karis!
I’m such a fan of the show! Watching it gave me a major case of wanderlust. I’d love to visit any of these spots, but Dorney Court looks most intriguing to me. Pinning this for future reference!
