Five Things To Do at Wembley Park

February 14, 2023

Hello Wembley Park sign

London has so many boroughs to explore it can be hard to keep track, and until recently the only reason people were aware of Wembley Park was because of the famous football stadium.  Watching matches here was certainly the only reason I had visited previously until it was brought to my attention just how much more the area has to offer.  I recently spent a Sunday hanging out there and thought I’d share my favourite things to do in Wembley Park:

Burrata and parma ham at Pasta Remoli

Supplì al Telefono at Pasta Remoli

Gnocchi at Pasta Remoli

Grab Some Great Food

Wembley Park has tons of great food options for whatever you are in the mood for, so you can treat yourself to a bit of what you fancy.  I hit up Pasta Remoli where I treated myself to a delicious Italian feast!  I started with the ever-creamy Burrata and parma ham while my friend went with Supplì al Telefono, deep-fried rice with tomatoes and mozzarella.

For the main course, Pasta Remoli lets you choose from any of their types of pasta and 12 different sauces to make a combination of your choice.  My friend went with Gricia in a Maccheroncini shape as recommended by our waiter, which was pretty similar to a carbonara.  I’m usually a tomato base kind of girl but I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone so I went for the rich and creamy Cacio e Pepe and used the opportunity to try Gnocchi for the first time which I loved!  The squishy texture is so unique and satisfying.

We were pretty full but finished off the meal with a couple of Cannoli which were really delicious!  Overall I’d really recommend it for casual dining with great food quality.

Explore the Wembley Park Art Trail

Starting at the station and winding its way around the stadium this art trail is a mixture of digital art, street art and mosaics.  My personal favourite was the Shadow Wall which interacts with passers-by and creates a digital copy of you on the wall, it’s really fun to play with.

Try Your Hand at Axe Throwing

Axe throwing is something I’ve been wanting to try for a few years now and you can do it here at Bad Axe.  Think of all the frustration you could let out throwing it towards its target, plus it’s great competitive fun to do with friends.

See What’s on Offer at the London Designer Outlet

I had no idea there was a designer outlet here, and the range of shops is impressive.  I’m not usually a big shopper but I was drawn in by the Converse store and we both came super close to buying shoes in the Vans store that had some really great deals!  I will defiantly be calling in here next time I’m in the area and looking for a bargin.

Newsies exterior in Wembley london

See Disney’s Newsies at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre

This show has been the talk of the town lately and I can see why!  It is high-energy fast paced fun with dancing that has to be seen to be believed.  It might seem like a strange choice for a Disney musical, being about the strikes of newspaper sellers in New York at the start of the 20th century, yet the story is powerful and charming.  Moreover, this choice of this venue over a traditional West End theatre makes the show so much better as the action happens all around you and they really use the space to its full potential.

These are just a few of the reasons to head to Wembley Park, I recommend you go explore for yourself just how much there is to this area outside of the famous football station!
