If you’ve visited this website before you will know by now that I have a certain thing for the Halloween season at the Disney Parks. I’ve written three posts on different Disney Parks Halloween events around the world so far covering Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, Florida, Halloween and Autumn in Disneyland Paris and Halloween in Hong Kong Disneyland. Now it’s time to tell you what Halloween is like in the newest of the Disney Parks, Shanghai Disneyland! Here’s what you can expect when you head to Shanghai Disneyland this Spooky season:

Trick or Treat Candies
Inside of the park, while not on the same scale as the over the top trick or treat candy stations at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or even the more restrained offerings at Hong Kong Disneyland you can still expect free Halloween themed free candy across the Shanghai Disneyland Resort. Rather than stations throughout the park itself as in other Disney Parks, here they are instead given out when purchasing a meal in the park and at some of the photo locations, it’s more like a little bonus than a major event like in other parks.
However, just outside the Park in Disneytown (the Shanghai equivalent of Downtown Disney), you will find a trail of treats winding through these shop-lined streets.

Halloween Decorations
Are there any better Halloween decorations in the world then the ones found at Disney Parks? I don’t believe so! Disney’s scary-yet-cute style covers the whole park resulting in adorably spooky vibes, I particularly loved the Duffy Character Pumpkins and Vampire Mickey floral display.

Meet Disney Characters in Unique Halloween Costumes
I love seeing my favourite Disney characters in their holiday costumes! It’s one of the only times of the year when you can see them without their usual costumes so grab a unique snap while you can.

A Wicked Celebration Party in Disneytown
Just outside the park in Disneytown is where you will find the Wicked Celebration Party where singers and dances move along to spooky-themed music. Mickey and Minnie even put in an appearance to make this an unmissable event, it’s a high energy, musical extravaganza!
Frightful Fun Dance Party
Also in Disneytown expect to find this fun and energetic Halloween dance party. Show off your favourite moves to some fantastical yet spooky tunes.

Halloween Eats
From black ice creams to Duffy Halloween popcorn buckets, to an apple flavoured Halloween sipper, expect lots of limited edition Halloween treats throughout the park.
Overall there’s plenty to see and do this Halloween at the Shanghai Disney Resort. Many of the Halloween offerings at Shanghai Disneyland are located in Disneytown rather than thoroughly integrated into the park itself like at other Disney Parks, so make sure you leave enough time to visit this area of you really want to make the most of the spooky season at Shanghai Disneyland resort.
