In 2017 I did so much travel I almost burnt myself out (that feeling didn’t last for long of course). When doing my travel round-up I had to split it into two (rather long) posts to fit it all in. It was the year I fell in love with the city break! This year things are going to be a little different. I am turning 30 in a few months time and I have decided to spend my little savings on travel. This means that instead of lots of smaller trips like last year I will be doing two big ones. Here’s how my travel plans are shaping up:
Disneyland California
I have a couple of weekday weddings this year so after these trips I will be out of holiday days until March 2019 (gulp) so that’s why I am not doing as many travel plans this year (well that and these trips leaving me skint!). My new job allows me to purchase up to five extra holiday days and I will be looking into that to see if I can squeeze in a couple of city breaks but to be honest, I need the money so this may not happen. If not I will be doing as many UK weekends trips as I can afford.
One crazy idea I am playing with is trying to get over to the US for the last ever Warp Tour, it’s been on my bucket list since I was a teenager but I’ve never been brave enough to head over and do it. Now it has been announced that 2018 will be the last ever Warp Tour it’s my last chance so I’ve been doing some research to find a way to somehow get to the US, go to the festival and be back at my desk in one weekend without ending up in a ton of debt! It’s crazy but I’ve been looking into it.
There are so many tempting offers online, Destination2 have some great offers for Bangkok that I’m already eyeing up for 2019 and there may be a family trip to Florida on the horizon. If you have any posts on Japan or Disneyland/San Francisco I’d love to read them. What are your 2018 travel plans?
