But beware. Beyond each portal, there could be sinister forces at work. Keep your wits about you and work together as a team to go beyond the limits of the known dining dimensions.

Gingerline’s next top-secret dive into immersive dining experience has been thrust into London. The newest in the Chambers of Flavours series, this time just called Chambers_, sees diners jumping between dimensions and involving all the senses as they try and find their way to the centre of the multiverse, tasting their way from place to place.

As usual with Gingerline’s dining experience most of what happens inside is top secret so I can’t give much away, but what I can say is you need to go with the flow and get involved to really make this work. As you might have known from this blog name, I am not usually great at putting myself forward, however in order to make the most out of these experiences you really need to throw yourself into whatever happens to be involved. If a drink can help you with this then they have a means of you bringing your wine or cocktail along with you for the journey. It took me a few scenes to ease into it but in the end, it really pulls the group you are ‘travelling’ with together as you let the awkwardness slide into an adventure. While some of the costumes and sets are outstanding the storyline is weak and you’re often left rushing your food before moving onto the next experience.

Food-wise you can expect five courses, a palate cleanser and a welcome drink. While I enjoyed any of them none really blew me away and I think the quality of the food was generally higher on The Grand Exhibition adventure I went on with Gingerline in April. It is a good chance to try new foods especially a lot of plant-based varieties which were new to me and Gingerline are great at accommodating different allergies or food needs.
