I try not to buy new clothes too often these days, I instead try to save my money for travel, but I do love picking up a bargain or two in the January sales! I’ve had my eyes on quite a few things recently and a few are currently on their way to me as we speak so I thought I’d share a vintage fashion wish list of things I have had my eye on as it’s been a good while since I’ve done one of these!
Collectif are usually always out of my budget unless it’s sale season and they are always one of the first places I look. I’ve finally ordered the famous Pearl Coat to try as I love the shape, I found it hard to choose between the classic edition and one of the variations but in the end I ordered this checked blue and green version as I can’t beat a bit of tartan. At less than half price I couldn’t resist finally trying it!
Straying away from the Winter theme Hell Bunny have blown me away with this rather Summer-y rainbow dress that I am desperate to order as soon as payday comes around. It’s going to be perfect for Pride season and I love the double strap detail, now I just need a pretty bra to wear with it.
I am desperate for a new pair of glasses, I’ve had mine for a few years and at some point I must have sat on them as they are now wonky and make my face look off! I’ve been looking at the Mister Spex website and I did have my eye on getting a pair of cat eyes glasses, possibly similar to the ones I wore in this post a few years back but then these teal beauties from comma caught my eye and now I feel like I need them, the colour is gorgeous!
Unique Vintage had an amazing sale on and I couldn’t figure out why I hadn’t ordered from them before until after I’d put a huge order in (in the hopes I could return some) and realised they are an American company so I am going to get stung by one hell of an import customs bill and I can say goodbye to each cheap returns! Let’s just hope I really love what comes and that it all fits! The first thing I put in my basket was this Champagne dress, it’s formal and a beautiful 50’s prom style shape that I just fell in love with it. I had hoped to wear it to a dinner I am at this weekend but as it is currently still stateside I will have to hope I get invited to somewhere equally special to wear it. One of the other things I added to this order is this Atomic Coca Cola shirt, I adore the classic 50’s atomic shape and this shirt is covered in them and that colour is to die for, it even matches the glasses pretty well!
Finally over on Lindybop there seems to have a constant sale these days and this Bletchley Books dress caught my eye as it’s fairly similar to the one I liked from Cath Kidston a while ago but sadly stopped being made. Working in publishing I, of course, love books so I love the bookshelf design.
So what do you think of my choices? If your into vintage style clothing and there’s anything you have your eye on do let me know, I love dreaming of pretty, colourful clothing and want to add to my vintage fashion wish list!
